No, you will receive your firearms safety course completion certificate, then you will need to complete the resident or non-resident application for concealed carry permit and submit your course completion certificate along with your application to your local county clerk’s office (or Virginia State Police for non-resident permits).
3. What is the cost of the concealed carry application? The current cost is $100.
4. How long does it take to get my permit once I submit my paperwork? It usually takes 15 – 45 days depending amount of applications and other duties of the clerk’s office.
5. How long is my concealed carry permit valid? Virginia concealed carry permits are valid for 5 years.
6. How will I get my firearms safety course completion certificate? You will be able to print your course completion certificate immediately upon completing your course and passing your online course test.
7. How long does it take to complete the course? It takes approximately two hours to complete the course and complete the test.
