Online Firearms Training
Our Online Firearms Training Courses are designed to meet the needs of students who’s schedule or geographic location prevents them from attending a classroom course. These courses cover a range of firearms instruction including firearms safety, responsible ownership, carrying a firearm for self-defense, deploying a firearm for personal protection in and outside the home, and improving defensive shooting skills. (Some of these courses qualify as the firearms safety course prerequisite in Virginia so you can apply for your concealed carry permit. Please refer to each course description to verify that course qualifies.)

In our Concealed Carry Course (CCW), you’ll experience comprehensive firearms training in the areas of proper and safe storing, handling, cleaning, and maintaining firearms.
Through our second amendment, law abiding citizens of the United States enjoy the right to own and use firearms, but with this right comes responsibility.
If you are a firearms owner, it is your responsibility to store, operate and maintain your firearms safely. Additionally, it is your responsibility to ensure unauthorized or untrained individuals do not gain access to your firearms.
As a responsible firearms owner, it is also essential to learn and obey all applicable laws that pertain to purchasing, possessing, and using your firearm in your particular locale.
Shoken Shooting Academy
Founder and Senior Instructor for the Shoken Shooting Academy, Mark Roscoe, is a life-long firearms enthusiast (since 1980), competing in pistol and shotgun competitions throughout Virginia, and has been involved in Personal and Corporate Security since 1999.
